Occupational Therapy

The occupational therapy team provides skilled evaluation and treatment with an emphasis on developmental skills (sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills), independent living skills (self-care, community awareness and meal preparation) and psychosocial skills (peer interaction, coping skills and assertive communication).

Therapeutic interventions are then used to enhance and preserve performance, restore impaired skills, establish new skills, revise activity demands and prevent barriers. Treatment is provided while the child engages in actual daily occupations and in goal directed behaviors and activities.
