Miracles Happen

“I was delivered to Texas NeuroRehab Center by ambulance after a very long and ongoing illness. I was unable to lift my head or arms let alone walk. I was afraid I was bound for a nursing home or acute care facility. The concept of going home seemed incomprehensible. To say I was scared is an understatement. When Dr. Chip Whisenant met me on my first day and told me “we start working on getting you ready for discharge starting right now” I thought he was speaking the impossible.

Well, last week I WALKED out of Texas NeuroRehab under my own power and came home. I feel better than I have in 5 or more years and I am very much looking forward to my future prospects.

There were so many people who touched my life and my heart while I was there; people who I owe a level of gratitude and thanks that words cannot express. Every person I encountered at TNC was a consummate professional that clearly loved what they were doing.
Miracles happen, I’m proof of that.” -A.G.

Praise and Gratitude

“My family and I would like to thank you for making our experience at the rehab center, a very positive one. We have nothing but praise and gratitude for the fine care received at this facility. Your staff is remarkable! They were all so supportive and eager to please. The amazing devotion of your staff was a big contribution to my speedy recovery. The doctors and nurses were first rate! The therapists were so caring and encouraging. They gave me the gift of trust in my ability to regain my strength and independence once again.

They gave me hope…The expertise of your professionals combined with the genuine warmth and cheerful attitude of the staff made my stay an extremely positive experience. The staff is not only professional and knowledgeable but they also possess the quality of kindness and caring, which is so important to a patient’s recovery. The care exceeded my expectation. They were truly excellent! With heartfelt thanks to your wonderful staff!” –Geri

Gratitude

“A big thank you to all of you for the wonderful care you gave. Your hard work and patience really made a big difference. He is called a “miracle” and you all were part of it. Our son completed physical therapy in April, and was able to ‘dance the night away’ at prom in May. He is moving forward and getting on with his life, and in his words… “a regular teenager.” Words simply cannot express our gratitude for all you did for him and our family.” – Lori & Gary

Positive Change

“We will never forget this entire experience and the individuals who eased our minds, we knew he was safe, a level of trust was established immediately. UT Charter far exceeded our expectations based on our experiences with our district. It was surprising to find teachers and management staff who worked together so closely to ensure all educational needs of a child, with a disability or mental illness, are met. The teachers were knowledgeable, eager to provide information, and good listeners. The transitions throughout the day between teachers were pure genius!

The support staff maintained continuity, seamlessly followed the teacher’s lead but at the same time had the expertise to take independent initiative. We are eternally grateful for the tireless effort that has been invested. You have forever changed the path of a child who has been misunderstood. The positive changes in his life during this educational journey will impact our family for years to come.

Thank you is not enough, but thank you, thank you, thank you”. – Stephanie

Thank You

“I want to thank everyone there that helped me with my recovery. I was diagnosed with TBI and partial paralysis. I was a patient there back in March for about 2 months. I was told I would never walk again, or do what I used to do and would be there for at least 6 months.

I am in the Army and with everyone’s help, I was able to go back to work and in November of this year, about 6 months later, I got cleared by the doctors to deploy to Iraq with my soldiers and continue my current career in the Army. Thank you so much. I owe everything to this place. I have a lot of thank-you’s to send out to these people. Thank you. ” – Jason R.

Support and Encouragement

“I want to thank everyone for all your care, training, support and encouragement during my stay here. Everyone made a difficult situation tolerable, pleasant, and most of all fun! I found the staff very professional, positive, respectful and desiring the best outcome for all the patients here.
Thank you all!” –Bobby

Customer Service and Safety

“Before my departure, I wanted to offer my utmost appreciation for the services provided by your professional staff. As a General Manager, I understand the importance of communicating a job well done to employees. I was very impressed with how well they followed and stressed safety guidelines. I am so impressed that I would like to incorporate the same practice at my company as in yours…each of you provided me a service unique to your qualifications and personality. This type of service is difficult to find these days. I would like to end this letter by thanking each and every one of you for a job WELL DONE.” –Anonymous

Deluxe Version

“You have made a huge difference in our family’s life. We have so much to be grateful for. Our son stayed with you for three months. He was a victim of a violent crime where he was hit in the head multiple times with a metal pipe. You got him to start swallowing, start eating, sitting up, standing up, walking, got his voice started, along with giving us hope along the way. I always believed he would get better and with your support and gifts of love, you helped make this possible.

He has come so far and I believe he will continue to make progress. His voice has gotten so much stronger, he has gotten back on the drums, and continues to do better with practice. He is now working cleaning parks and helps me at our pet boarding kennel. He bought a ’69 Mustang and is working on getting it street ready so that he has a car to drive when he takes his DPS test.

We have a new deluxe version of our son. He is happy, healthy and never lost his great sense of humor. He used to be shy and doesn’t have a shy bone in his body now. He makes friends wherever he goes. He is very thankful for his life and all you have done for him. Thank you all so very much.” -Carol

Medical Rehabilitation Program Kind Treatment

“Just a short note to tell how much I appreciate and will never forget your kind treatment and sincere care while I was a patient in your center and as an outpatient client. My surgeon thinks I will be back to 100% of normal by Christmas. I will never be able to repay you for helping me get my life back. God Bless you all.” –Male patient (Bruce) in October 2016

Caring and Encouraging

“Thanks to all of you who assisted my daughter in her rehabilitation after her brain injury. Her therapists kept her motivated and encouraged her daily. The nurses and aids were helpful and caring. The case manager answered our questions and was informative. We appreciate the evaluation and advice regarding her full recovery. My daughter is making progress daily and realizes that she was extremely fortunate. We gratefully thank you and TNC for your generosity. God Bless you all.“ –Mother of patient – August 2016

Very Positive Place

“When I was a patient at Texas NeuroRehab Center it felt like a very positive place for me to be. My mom wrote a thank you already, but forgot a couple of people that I think are wonderful. The tech was always so good to me. He easily made me smile often by being joyful at his work. I also want to mention Dr. Tempest because I was so frequently grateful for him – from checking in on me to bringing me good news often. I will never forget these guys or all those who helped me there. Thank you all for being there and changing lives.” –Female patient – September 2016
